Could the Loch Ness Monster actually be a Greenland shark?

One of the largest sharks in the world, adult Greenland sharks can grow up to 22 feet long (6.7 m).

They have also proven to live hundreds of years, leading experts to theorize that if a determined Greenland shark (or small population) made his way into the Loch Ness and acclimated to the water before the waterway narrowed, he could survive without predators and when seen be mistaken as a “monster” by generations of fishermen.

Like bull sharks, Greenland sharks can adapt to freshwater.
