One of the more easily-recognized whales due to the white patch on its head that looks like a white baseball cap missing a brim, the Hubb’s Beaked Whale is the only beaked whale that is known to be harvested for meat.

There are 22 species of beaked whale and each of them is notoriously anonymous, avoiding human contact. The Hubb’s beaked whale, however, has been known to get caught in fishing nets in the North Pacific Ocean.
